I just left a meeting with our delivery lead and had to post about her. She’s amazing. There. I said it. Have a great day. (kidding, of course) There are simply too many good things to say about her.
When you first meet this person she strikes you as highly polished and professional. And this is her norm! None of us have this type of track record. I know I don’t. There are days when I forget to shave or decide not to turn on my camera because my shirt looks wrinkled. Or, I might have a cough or stuffed sinuses. Not her. She’s always picture perfect. And we’re not talking about some carefree person enjoying the single life without any responsibilities. I’m pretty sure she’s a wife, has young kids, pets, and all of the responsibilities the most busy adults have.
And her knowledge! She’s been with Travelers for decades and I’m certain her brain retains every bit of it. I have lost count of the number of times we have been discussing a topic or process and she pulls a team name, process, employee, or some historical info that nobody else has.
Halfway through me writing this I had to send our team a message saying I’d miss the first hour of a meeting tomorrow morning. Of course, she replied with the most caring and positive message. Like I said… perfect.
[sigh] I dunno. This was supposed to be a quick message, so I guess I should wrap it up. None of this is a surprise anyway. For such a great person to be at a wonderful company for decades is no surprise.
I’m one of the lucky ones.
