I need to tell someone. Saying these words would sound suspect… maybe even creepy. But they’re true. I’ve been employed in the workforce since I was 14. That’s a total of 36 years. I’ve owned my own companies, run departments for other companies, served in two branches of the military, and I can confidently say, out of all of that, Travelers is the one that I have enjoyed the most. Now, I’m not saying those others do not have a special place in my heart. Some of them do. But, as a whole, working as an employee has been the best experience at Travelers. Why else would I spend the time, effort, and energy to create this site?

In all honesty, this site may not be very exciting for the reader. It’s more of an outlet to confess my love for such a great company. There won’t be any names or details of any person or place in here. I know if I were to read a blog, from someone else, and my name was mentioned I’d feel really odd. There’s no way I can do that to anyone.

What I can tell you is that I’m a software developer working on my third year with the company. I started back in 2018 with them as a consultant and spent two awesome years working with some amazing people. Unfortunately, because of the contracts between Travelers and the consulting company, and between me and the consulting company, it was impossible for me to become a permanent employee. So, two years in I took a massive chance and resigned to allow my non-compete agreement to run its course. Of course, COVID threw everyone a curveball but, as soon as a position came about that I was a good fit for, I applied. I’ve been here now for about five months and, just like the last time, I absolutely love it.

That’s about it for my first post. It’s almost bedtime and I want to get this site published. If you have questions, feel free to shoot me an email at: info@ilovetravelers.com

Until then…
